I am Abdulaziz Aldawihis. I am from Saudi Arabia. I am currently in my second semester at saint cloud state university. My major that i am going for is Accounting. The 1st December, 2010 was my first day in Minnesota. I met my cousins and I lived with them for two weeks. Then, the real adventure started when I transferred to live with an American family. The family was living in St Paul, nearby my school. I had never lived with a foreign family. I didn’t know what'll happen to me in the hidden future. When my cousin and I arrived to the family’s house, the couple came to meet us, even the dog. Oh my god they have a dog how can I adapt with it. Furthermore I am afraid of dogs and I don’t like it. The dog came to smell us I was hiding behind my cousin, because I never saw a dog like that-it is big and looks like a wolf. After that, we took a tour of the house. The house was completely different than the houses back home. The house made from wood, it was looks magnificent for me. my life with American families was a great experiment, I earned a lot of things. For example, I earned to be patient in tough cases. We should already know what will do to avoid the problems. Respect opinions of other people and what are they belief. In my experience, I advice the students who is studying English to live with an American family. Therefore, the students will improve quickly in school; they will understand the American culture better than if they live along.
