My second interview


(1) When, where, and how did I Conduct the Interview?

In Monday I went to Atwood do drink coffee and I fond a person look like Chinese. I asked him please Are you from China? He was very surprised. He said yes, what can  I help you. I told him that I have to do interview with someone from China. He said ok that fine but, how do you know am from china that was smart guess.

(2) Describe the Interview


I think that interview was great I learned a lot from my mistakes in the first interview.My Chinese friend has helped me to learn culture in China Food, clothing, and religions.



(3) Country Report



 China - the People's Republic of Chinese, is a country in Eastern Asia. China is related to the ancient civilizations, which has incorporated a large number of countries and cultures during 4 thousand years. It is the largest country by its population, which is more than 1,35 milliard people. Most of the population is represented by the ethnic Chinese. It is related to one of the largest countries and takes the third place in the world after Russia and Canada. It is about 9,596 millions sq km.



The country is a great power state and the member of the UN Security Council. China is among the leading countries in the world, possessing the largest army and nuclear weapon. It is the global leader by the production of most of the types of industrial products including production of cars. The country is the world's greatest exporter and has a half of global currency reserves and is a potential superpower. (Liao, 2011). The national official currency of China is Renminbi.



The state was based on October 1, 1949. The capital of the country is Beijing. The largest cities are Chongqing, Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou. Since 1949, the year of proclaiming the country as a sovereign state after the civil war, the state is ruled by the CPC (Communist Party of China). There are also 8 registered political parties in China, which are independent from CPC. Xi Jinping is the President of the country. The Vice President is Li Yuanchao.



The official language of China is Chinese. In Chinese religion and philosophy, there are three major streams such as Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism. The culture of China is one of the oldest and most original in the world. Chinese culture had a great influence on the development of the first crops of many neighboring nations who inhabited the vast territory of the later of Mongolia, Tibet, Indochina, Korea and Japan.

A: What is your name and where are you from?
B: My name is moah and I am from china
A: what is your major?
B: My major is computer science; I am studying Master's degree
A: great, why you choose computer science?
B: My father always wants me to be on this major
A: so, do you like it?
B: yes
A: Ok, here in Saint Cloud what do you do in your free time?
B: fishing or sometimes I just deal with computer stuff; all my project and homework have to be done with the computer so, that why I like outdoor activities, I go skiing a lot in winter and fishing in summer 
 A: I like that, what is your favorite food in china?
B: China is a large country and we have lots of famous foods.
A: How do you communicate with each other in your home country?
B:  we speak Chinese and we have a lot of local dialects
A: What is the clothing style for men and women?
B: There is no such different between here and China, but we have traditional clothes
A: How are women and men treated differently?
B:  Exactly the same but in China women are stronger than men
A: How has your experience here helped you interpret and respect cultural differences?
B: The Chinese do not like fast food, but America people love fast food, my experience help me to be far from bad food habits
A: Do you enjoy speaking with other exchange students?
B: Yes, that helps me to learn other culture
A: How long have you been in the United States?
B: I have been here about 4 years
A: Have you been able to visit any other parts of the United States?
B: I had a road trip last summer from Chicago to California we pass to a lot of states
A: How was the trip?
B: The road trip was scary sometimes you see our car the only car on the street
A: What are your home country’s major religions?
B: I have to say most of Chines they do not believe on anything but I did believe the exist of god
A: How often do you communicate with your family back at home?
B: not too much every month
A: after you graduate, what are you going to do?
B: I want to go back to China and work there
A: Do you get culture shock when you first come here?
B: No People here are friendly and I have many American friends 
A: Do you have any questions for me?
B: no, I was happy to answer your question
A: thank you so much and nice to meet you
